How We Select Resources
Useful. Credible. Accessible. Relevant to African learners.
NextGen EdTech Africa carefully selects educational technology and AI resources that can support students, educators and institutions across Africa. We look beyond popularity and ask a more important question: Will this resource actually help our users learn, create or build?
Our Selection Criteria
1. Educational Usefulness
We select resources that have clear educational value and can genuinely support learning, studying, teaching, research, or skills development.
2. Credibility & Reliability
We prioritise resources from credible organisations, educational institutions, recognised experts, and trustworthy platforms.
3. Meaningful Free Access
We prioritise resources that provide genuinely useful free access, rather than requiring payment before learners can benefit from their core educational features.
4. Mobile-Friendly & Low-Data Practicality
We favour resources that work well on smartphones and remain practical for learners with limited internet access, data, or bandwidth.
5. Student Appropriateness
We select resources that are suitable for students and support safe, responsible, and age-appropriate learning.
6. Responsible & Ethical AI
We favour AI resources that encourage responsible use, protect learners’ privacy, and support academic integrity rather than replacing independent thinking.
7. Relevance to African Learning Contexts
We prioritise resources that are relevant or adaptable to African educational contexts, including diverse curricula, learning environments, infrastructure, and access conditions.
Our Commitment
These criteria guide how NextGen EdTech Africa selects and recommends resources. Our goal is simple: to help learners and educators find useful, credible, accessible, and responsible educational technology suited to African learning contexts.
